Application Support Analyst OTM

Position Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Oracle Transportation Management (OTM) Application Support Analyst to join our dynamic IT team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in application support, problem-solving skills, and the ability to lead technical projects. As an Application Support Analyst, you will be responsible for providing expert-level support for our applications, ensuring their optimal performance, and facilitating smooth operations across various business units.

Key Responsibilities

Application Support and Troubleshooting:

• Provide advanced technical support for complex application issues and escalate unresolved issues to appropriate teams
• Analyze application logs and performance metrics to identify and resolve issues promptly
• Collaborate with developers and vendors to diagnose and address application-related problem

Incident Management:

• Manage and prioritize incident tickets, ensuring timely resolution and minimal impact on business operations.
• Coordinate with other IT teams and departments to ensure effective incident management and communication.

System Maintenance and Upgrades:

• Oversee routine maintenance, patches, and upgrades for applications to ensure stability and security.
• Plan and execute application deployments, ensuring minimal disruption to end-user

Performance Monitoring and Optimization:

• Monitor application performance and identify opportunities for optimization.
• Implement and manage performance tuning strategies to improve application efficiency.

Documentation and Reporting:

• Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for application support processes, troubleshooting guides, and knowledge bases.
• Prepare and present reports on application performance, incidents, and support activities to management.

User Support and Training:

• Provide expert guidance and support to end-users, including troubleshooting and resolving complex user issues.
• Develop and deliver training materials and sessions to enhance user knowledge and application proficiency.

Project Management:

• Lead and participate in application-related projects, including system upgrades, integrations, and new implementations.
• Collaborate with project teams to define requirements, scope, and deliverables for application project

Continuous Improvement:

• Identify and recommend process improvements to enhance application support efficiency and effectiveness.
• Stay updated on industry trends and best practices to apply innovative solutions and technologies.

Qualifications

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

Experience:

• 10 years of IT experience, including implementation of Oracle Transportation Management.
• OTM Expert, both functionally and technically (Setup configuration, Order Management, Shipment management, Financials, rates, master data, bulk planning parameters, VPDs, user configuration, screen set development, SQL queries, Tracking Events and working with CSV & XML files).
• OTM integration on multiple platforms.
• Knowledge of logistics management principles and processes.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

• Ability to quickly grasp, articulate and document complicated business and technical issues.
