  • Assist with payroll processing and related tasks.
  • Ensure all financial practices comply with legal requirements and internal policies.
  • Manage and apply for state tax credits / incentives, ensuring all documentation and submissions are timely and accurate.
  • Track costs at the production/project level to ensure budget adherence and provide detailed financial reports for each project.
  • Accurately enter financial data into accounting software.
  • Provide support for annual audits and tax preparation.
  • Liaise with vendors, clients, and staff regarding financial matters.
  • Work with the CEO, CFO, Production Supervisor, and EA to ensure accurate and efficient financial management.

Qualifications

Required

  • Minimum of 2 years of bookkeeping or related experience.
  • Proficiency in QuickBooks.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel and other office applications.
  • Experience with state tax credits and related documentation.
  • High degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Preferred

  • Associate's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.

Job Summary

The Bookkeeper will be taking the lead on maintaining accurate financial records in Quickbooks and ensuring compliance with GAAP principles. As a startup, there is potential for this position to expand to more days per week in the future.

Key Responsibilities
  • Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all financial transactions.
