The Maintenance Technician at Talnt is responsible for performing routine maintenance and repair tasks on manufacturing equipment and machinery, diagnosing and troubleshooting issues, and ensuring optimal equipment performance through preventive maintenance inspections. Responsibilities

  • Perform routine maintenance and repair tasks on manufacturing equipment and machinery.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot issues with mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
  • Conduct preventive maintenance inspections to ensure optimal equipment performance.
  • Collaborate with production staff to minimize downtime and ensure timely completion of maintenance activities.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders and equipment logs.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and company standards to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Assist in the installation and setup of new equipment and machinery.
  • Order and manage inventory of maintenance supplies and spare parts.
  • Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment during production.

Qualifications

Required

  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or vocational training in maintenance or a related field preferred.
  • Proven experience as a maintenance technician, particularly in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
  • Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Good communication skills and ability to work well in a team environment.
  • Physical stamina and dexterity for handling heavy equipment and working in confined spaces.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends, if necessary.

Preferred

  • Associate degree in industrial maintenance, engineering technology, or a related field.
  • Certification in relevant areas such as HVAC, electrical, or plumbing.
  • Familiarity with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS).
  • Experience with PLC (Programmable Logic Controller) programming and troubleshooting.
  • Knowledge of safety regulations and OSHA standards.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead or supervise junior maintenance staff.
  • Strong project management skills and ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Previous experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Continuous improvement mindset with a focus on efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
