Radiology Interventional Technologist up to $133k Plus Benefits

Position Overview:

The Cardiovascular Radiologic Technologist plays a critical role in assisting Cardiologists and Radiologists in the performance of interventional angiographic and therapeutic procedures for pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients. Under general supervision, you will be responsible for imaging, monitoring, and providing scrub assistance during these procedures while maintaining a safe and high-quality patient care environment. This position requires proficiency in interventional radiologic procedures and a strong commitment to patient-centered care.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in performing interventional angiographic and therapeutic procedures, including the preparation, operation, and management of diagnostic and therapeutic imaging equipment.
• Provide imaging and monitoring support during procedures, ensuring optimal image quality and patient safety.
• Scrub assist during interventional procedures, working closely with physicians and maintaining a sterile field.
• Demonstrate proficiency in required competencies, including radiographic techniques, patient care, and emergency response protocols.
• Ensure compliance with hospital policies, safety standards, and radiation safety regulations.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive care tailored to the needs of pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients.
• Accurately document procedures, maintaining detailed records of patient information, procedure details, and any complications encountered.
• Participate in continuing education and training to maintain proficiency in new technologies and techniques in cardiovascular radiology.

Required Qualifications:

• Completion of formal training in radiology procedures or equivalent education/experience.
• Licensure/Certification:
  • California Radiologic Technologist (CRT) certification upon hire.
  • National Registered Technologist - Radiography certification through the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) upon hire.
  • National Registered Technologist certification in one of the following specialties within 1 year of hire:
    • Cardiac-Interventional Radiography
    • Cardiovascular-Interventional Radiography
    • Vascular-Interventional Radiography
  • Alternatively, National Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist certification through Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) within 1 year of hire.
  • National Provider BLS (Basic Life Support) certification through the American Heart Association upon hire.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Participation in ongoing continuing education programs related to cardiovascular radiology.
• A minimum of 2 years of experience working in a specialized procedures lab or Cardiovascular Lab.

• Strong knowledge of radiographic principles, including radiation safety protocols.
• Ability to work effectively in a high-stress, fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
• Proficient in the operation of radiologic imaging equipment, patient monitoring systems, and sterile techniques.

• Demonstrated ability to prioritize and multitask in a dynamic clinical setting.
