  • Assists with tracking, auditing and reporting on daily project activity including cost controls, schedule compliance, productivity, quality scope definition, scope additions/deletions as directed
  • Creates, submits and tracks change orders under the direction of the Project Manager
  • Perform project setup duties as required
  • Responsible for maintaining records and reports essential to the effective operation of ongoing projects and assigned areas of responsibility
  • Produce project-based reports internally and externally
  • Assist the Project Manager with overseeing the coordination of project scope with Project Team, Operations Department and the Purchasing Department to achieve maximum efficiency and cost management
  • Other duties as assigned
  • Assist Field personnel as needed

Qualifications

Required

  • A minimum of 4 years experience in the construction industry or a degree in a construction-related field
  • Strong computer skills, including MS Office suite, Bluebeam, and Construction Management Programs (Procore, Autodesk, Raken, etc.)
  • Must have strong leadership skills, strong oral communication skills, active listening skills, and excellent writing skills
  • Must be able to work cooperatively with a variety of personalities
  • A self-starter who will work proactively with the Project Manager and team

VECA Electric & Technologies has an opening for an Assistant Project Manager at Western State Hospital in Lakewood, WA. This position reports directly to the Project Manager and works in partnership with our electrical field team.

Compensation & Benefits:
