Job Description:
The Contract Administrator will provide support to the hospital's Corporate Legal Department in the following areas: preparation, review, and processing of legal documents using form templates and perform due diligence on incoming contract packets to ensure compliance to company policies; and assist in analyzing and organizing information.
Education:
At least one of the following: a) a paralegal certificate from a paralegal program, b) a degree from a secondary institution which requires at least 31 semester units in law-related and/or business courses; or c) current enrollment in either with pending certificate or degree.
Experience:
At least 1 year of experience with administering and managing legal documents under the supervision of an attorney. Healthcare and/or hospital (legal dept.) exposure greatly preferred.
License, Registration or Certification required:
Notary Public license preferred, but not required.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities required:
Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Writer, MediTract, PeopleSoft and/or other similar or related contract administration software/database applications.
The ideal candidate must be able to work independently in a fast-paced environment, capable of multi-tasking and prioritizing workload effectively, detail oriented, and a team player. Willingness to undertake almost any legal task. Must possess the ability to positively interact with patients, employees, and Medical Staff.
Location: This full-time, temp to hire position will be located in the hospital's headquarters located in Los Angeles (East Hollywood).
Hourly Pay Rate: $25.00-$32.50/hr. | DOE/DOQ
