Maintenance Mechanic

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and versatile Maintenance Mechanic & Electric Technician to join our team. This hybrid role requires a professional capable of performing both mechanical maintenance and electrical troubleshooting and repair. The ideal candidate will have strong mechanical aptitude along with expertise in electrical systems to ensure the smooth operation and reliability of our equipment and facilities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Mechanical Maintenance:
• Perform routine inspections, preventative maintenance, and repairs on various mechanical equipment, including HVAC systems, pumps, conveyors, and production machinery.
• Diagnose mechanical issues and replace or repair defective components such as motors, bearings, and valves.
• Collaborate with production teams to minimize downtime and optimize equipment performance.
• Maintain documentation of all repairs, adjustments, and maintenance activities.
• Electrical Technician Duties:
• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair electrical systems, including control circuits, PLCs, motors, and electrical panels.
• Install, test, and maintain electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures to ensure safe and efficient operations.
• Read and interpret electrical schematics and blueprints to ensure proper system installation and repairs.
• Conduct regular electrical system inspections and calibrations to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
• General Responsibilities:
• Respond promptly to breakdowns and emergency repairs, ensuring minimal disruption to operations.
• Collaborate with other team members and departments to identify improvement opportunities in processes and equipment efficiency.
• Maintain a safe working environment by adhering to all safety protocols, regulations, and best practices.
• Assist in training and mentoring junior technicians and maintenance staff as needed.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent required; technical certification in electrical or mechanical maintenance is preferred.
• Proven experience as a Maintenance Mechanic and/or Electric Technician in an industrial or manufacturing setting.
• Strong working knowledge of mechanical systems (hydraulics, pneumatics, HVAC) and electrical systems (AC/DC motors, PLCs, electrical wiring).
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
• Solid troubleshooting skills for both mechanical and electrical issues.
• Knowledge of safety regulations, OSHA standards, and proper lockout/tagout procedures.
• Basic computer skills for maintenance documentation and reporting.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
