The Product Merchandiser at Theory is responsible for supporting the execution of best-in-class product strategies to ensure the success and growth of the Theory Women’s business globally. This role involves leveraging analytical skills, staying informed on trends, and maintaining impeccable communication. The merchandiser works closely with design, product development, and production teams to develop merchandise strategies, manage pre- and post-market materials, and oversee sample management.

Responsibilities

  • Develop global merchandise strategies for designated categories based on sales, history, and market trends.
  • Work closely with design and product development teams from vision to execution.
  • Prepare market presentations with line and product direction, style assortments, and pricing.
  • Identify how current trends will impact future strategies and adjust as needed.
  • Analyze LY information and market information to support strategy development.
  • Work with manager to edit and balance the line in partnership with Design.
  • Ensure assortment supports department strategies and falls within brand aesthetic.
  • Support oversight of merchandise data accuracy in PLM and related systems for designated categories.
  • Partner with Design and Production to achieve IMU targets.
  • Coordinates and manages execution of go-to-market materials: showroom samples, line sheets, credit decks for look books, swatch books, order shells.
  • Manage sample log and coordinate samples for showrooms, photoshoots, and marketing/PR needs.
  • Manage and maintain Master Buy Charts.
  • Create recaps and analyze global investment in recommended styles as well as help to monitor and maintain global exclusive requests.
  • Oversee team calendar and support in sending invites including managing contact list cross-functionally.
  • Plan and prioritize workload to meet deadlines.

Qualifications

Required

  • 3-5 years of merchandising/product development experience, in apparel a plus
  • Understanding of merchandising and the product development & creation process
  • Strong commercial sense and knowledge of consumer/fashion trends
  • Must be able to provide clear analysis on product hindsights to various audiences, from both financial and creative perspectives
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Advanced excel experience
  • Strong organizational skills, communication & interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a fast pace environment and handle multiple tasks while meeting tight deadlines
  • Must demonstrate high level of initiative and resourcefulness, be a solution seeker and make practical decisions
  • Ability to quickly learn internal systems and additional software applications

OVERVIEW:

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

  • Manage and maintain Master Buy Charts. Responsible for input and integrity of merchandise information in Buy Chart, communicating order deadlines and collecting orders from regional sales teams.
  • Create recaps and analyze global investment in recommended styles as well as help to monitor and maintain global exclusive requests
  • Oversee team calendar and support in sending invites including managing contact list cross-functionally
  • Plan and prioritize workload to meet deadlines

SALARY RANGE: $90,000-$100,000
