As part of our dining room team, the Barista/Bartender ensures that each and every one of our guests has a personalized and memorable experience by executing our purpose of “Nourishing lives by sharing traditions, authentic food and love.” We accomplish this is through our adherence to Neapolitan traditions, following our proven recipes and systems, showing genuine care for our guests and teammates, and enjoying making people happy.

Our menu is full of amazing Neapolitan inspired fare including wood-fired pizzas, pastas, antipasti, salads, sandwiches, desserts, craft cocktails, wine, beer and espresso. Our Bartender/Baristas focus on our beverages and how to pair them with our dishes.

Compensation:

  • $17.25 per hour base wage
  • Tip-pool share based on hours worked and a three-tier merit system based on skills and value alignment. Estimated tip share of $5-$6 per hour at start. Top tier Bartender/Baristas can expect to earn a tip-pool share of $11-$14 per hour.
  • Our tip-pools are a material statement of our values and that while different positions have different duties, every team member in our restaurants shares in the responsibility to provide our guests with an outstanding experience. Our tip-pools reflect this shared responsibility by distributing all tips collected during each two week pay period evenly to all tip-eligible employees based on hours worked and a service tier that is based on demonstration of skills and living our values at work. We embrace the sense of equity that comes from abandoning the, “my table, my tips,” attitude in favor of an, “our restaurant, our tips,” one.

  • Learn our menu items and about the high quality ingredients that go into our food and beverages.
  • Learn to pull the perfect shot in alignment with Tutta Bella standards and the specifications for our espresso drinks.
  • Learn the specifications for all of our espresso drinks and cocktails.
  • Learn the builds and recipes for all of our classic, craft, and seasonal cocktails.
  • Become familiar with Italian beer and wines and how we inform our guests.
  • What our seasonal menu tempo is like and how we feature these special items.
  • Develop an understanding of how we evaluate performance and provide daily constructive feedback.
  • Learn our daily operating procedures and how the Bartender/Barista role fits into the restaurant as a whole.
  • How we turn guest complaints into brand loyalty opportunities.
  • Learn about Tutta Bella’s community giving programs.
  • Become familiar with our employee policies and practices including dress code, grooming requirements, and scheduling.
  • How to use Toast tablets and handhelds as both our Point-of-Sale and time clock systems.
  • Be introduced to our periodic inventory process.

Physical Demands:

  • Bartender/Baristas are expected to work on their feet for up to 3 hours at a time.
  • The position requires frequent crouching, lifting and carrying.
  • Bartender/Baristas must be able to lift up to 40 pounds without undue strain.
  • This position also requires the periodic replacement of half-kegs, which generally weigh 160 lbs, and can be done with assistance from a coworker.
  • This position requires repetitive hand and wrist motions.

Work Environment:

Bartender/Baristas are expected to work shifts during all hours of operation including evenings, weekends, and most holidays. This position also requires table service outdoors in various temperatures. Work is occasionally performed around sharp and potentially hazardous equipment including pizza ovens, deli slicers, and large volume mixers.
