  • Minimum of one year of surgical clinical experience
  • Current CPR Certification
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time and lift up to 30 pounds

Preferred

  • Bilingual in Spanish
  • Graduate of a Medical Assistant Program (AAMA, AMT, NHA, or NCCT)
  • 1 year experience with EMR systems (eCW preferred)

Medical Assistant

The primary purpose of the Medical Assistant is to help the providers with patient care and prepare exam rooms. The Medical Assistant will report to the Practice Administrator. The salary for this position starts at $20hr + $4,000 RETENTION BONUS! Occasional travel to the Arlington Heights, Hoffman Estates, and Elgin practices.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES of the Medical Assistant

  • The Medical Assistant is responsible for assisting Physicians, Mid-Level Practitioners, and Registered Nurses with the evaluation, management, and treatment of patients in an ambulatory care setting.
  • The Medical Assistant assumes responsibility for maintaining patient flow, upkeeping of exam and treatment rooms, and performing basic skills such as vital signs and point of care testing.
  • The Medical Assistant will assist the physician in office-based surgeries and must know sterile techniques, and how to assist during a medical procedure.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY

This position has no supervisory responsibility.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

Current CPR Certification. Current Medical Assistant Certification by AAMA, AMT, NHA, or NCCT (preferred). All employees are required to provide proof of vaccination or exemption.

WAGE

Starting at $20hr + Travel Reimbursement + $4,000 RETENTION BONUS!

HOURS/DAYS

Monday-Friday, 8:00am-5:30pm.
