The Nuclear Medicine Technician at Piedmont Fayette performs diagnostic and therapeutic Nuclear Medicine and/or Nuclear Cardiology procedures according to all protocols, policies, and procedures. This role adheres to A.L.A.R.A. programs and performs all quality control procedures in accordance with manufacturer, state, and federal guidelines. The position is primarily for cover to call outs, techs wanting time off, and/or to help with weekend staff, with shifts ranging from 6 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. Monday to Friday, and weekend hours from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Responsibilities

  • Performs diagnostic and therapeutic Nuclear Medicine and/or Nuclear Cardiology procedures according to all Protocols, Policies and Procedures.
  • Adheres to A.L.A.R.A. programs.
  • Performs all quality control procedures in accordance with manufacturer, state and federal guidelines.

Qualifications

Required

  • Graduate of a Nuclear Medicine program accredited by either the Joint Review Committee on Education Programs in Nuclear Medicine Technology (JRCNMT) or the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB).
  • Registered nuclear technologist with either the American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (Nuclear) ARRT (N) or the Nuclear Medicine Technologist Certification Board (NMTCB-CNMT).
  • BLS Certified.
  • Possesses a thorough knowledge of radiation safety guidelines and radiopharmaceuticals as needed to perform and process Nuclear Medicine examinations.

Location: Piedmont Fayette

Shift: The need for this current position is cover to call outs, techs wanting time off, and/or to help with weekend staff. These shifts range from 6 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. Monday to Friday, Weekend hours are from 8 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.

Job Purpose:
Performs diagnostic and therapeutic Nuclear Medicine and/or Nuclear Cardiology procedures according to all Protocols, Policies and Procedures and adhering to A.L.A.R.A. programs. Performs all quality control procedures in accordance with manufacturer, state and federal guidelines.

Qualifications:
MINIMUM EDUCATION REQUIRED:
Graduate of a Nuclear Medicine program accredited by either the Joint Review Committee on Education Programs in Nuclear Medicine Technology (JRCNMT) or the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB).

MINIMUM EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
None

MINIMUM LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION REQUIRED BY LAW:
Registered nuclear technologist with either the American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (Nuclear) ARRT (N) or the Nuclear Medicine Technologist Certification Board (NMTCB-CNMT).

ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:
