Responsibilities

  • Maintain and repair equipment, including electrical, pneumatics, and hydraulics

Qualifications

Required

  • Minimum of 3 years' experience as a full charge maintenance mechanic in a plant of similar size
  • 1 year experience designing & operating a preventative maintenance program
  • 1 year experience participating on a Safety Committee in a food manufacturing environment
  • Working knowledge of HVAC systems, boilers, welding, air compressors, and hydraulics
  • Knowledge of plant operations & necessary maintenance
  • Able to maintain & repair automobiles and forklifts
  • Knowledge and skills to troubleshoot & repair equipment, including electrical, pneumatics & hydraulics
  • Skilled in welding, operation of cutting equipment, machine tools, & electrical testing equipment
  • Able to lift, carry, slide, push, or pull up to 75 pounds
  • Able to bend, twist, squat, kneel, & move freely as needed
  • Able to climb stairs and ladders
  • Able to stand, sit, or walk up to 8 hours per day
  • Able to operate a forklift & be certified by a NIOSH or OSHA approved program
  • Well organized and able to adhere to schedules & timetables
  • Able to communicate effectively

Required Skills
