  • Drive to destination for delivery, announce arrival to customer and unload ordered parts for customer, will also be required to make inter-company pick-ups/deliveries of non-parts items such as corporate office paperwork, paychecks, etc.
  • Collect proper amount of payment in consideration for sold parts, making notes on sales ticket when parts are refused and reason for refusal, and provide customer with copy of sales ticket for any items kept by customer. Return original invoice with payment or reason why payment was not accepted on a daily basis.
  • Have trucks inspected by company inspector semi-annually per pre-determined inspection schedule; routine maintenance such as fluid checks and tire inspection will be done on a daily basis, reporting maintenance problems to supervisor immediately.
  • Other duties as assigned within the scope of the skills, physical requirements, education and experience of this position description.

Qualifications

Required

  • Must have a valid Class D license in the state of Maryland or valid license to operate motor vehicles in the incumbent’s state of residency.
  • Must have 2 years’ experience driving any vehicle where driving record reflects no more than two point’s total.
  • Must be able to navigate the roads in a safe and efficient manner
  • Must be able to follow directions provided by customer or company representative from maps or verbal instruction
  • Must be able to load scheduled deliveries properly to ensure that parts are loaded safely and that all parts remain intact and unharmed.
  • Must be able to read, write and understand the English language.
