  • Maintains accurate documentation of all care provided.
  • Transcribes and provides orders as necessary.
  • Review all the medications for availability, expiration and proper documentation and notifies the appropriate guide if discrepancies are noted.
  • Works with members, family, and pharmacy to maintain adequate medication levels.
  • Maintain the self-respect, personal dignity, and physical safety of each member.
  • Respond to independent living member emergency calls if indicated.
  • Participates in family /member counseling as necessary.
  • Completes chart check weekly to ensure compliance with written physician orders.

Qualifications

Required

  • Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) or equivalent.
  • Strong clinical assessment skills and ability to make rapid, accurate decisions in high-pressure situations.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to handle stressful situations with composure and professionalism.
  • LPN is currently licensed by the State of Georgia.
  • At least 6 months of nursing experience with geriatric involvement preferable.
  • Must be able to work in self-directed work groups
  • Passion for working with elderly people.
