Food Service Associate

Primary Function:

• The individual in this position is responsible for providing well-prepared, appetizing, nutritious, enjoyable food at reasonable prices for the Cook Biotech cafeteria.
• Prepare and serve food items in CBI cafeteria.
• Oversee and participate in food preparation.

Essential Job Functions/Duties:

• Assist with planning of menus.
• Purchase food and supplies and maintain records to determine appropriate prices.
• Maintain health, safety and sanitation regulations.

Minimum Work Experience/Educational Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least two years’ experience in cafeteria or food service.
• Good communication skills.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds.
• Good interpersonal and organizational skills.
• Able to work with multiple persons in a team environment.

Physical Requirements/Work Environment

• Must be able to perform the essential functions of the job.
• Limited exposure to hazardous chemicals used in the manufacture of the product.
• Physical demands are typical of an office and classroom environment.
