The Maintenance Technician at The Park at Franklin is responsible for a variety of maintenance tasks including preparing apartments for new residents, cleaning internal areas of the community, maintaining grounds, and performing general upkeep procedures. Responsibilities

  • Prepare apartments for change in occupancy, including painting, cleaning, and delivering appliances.
  • Cleans internal areas of the community, including dusting, sweeping, and mopping.
  • Maintains grounds by picking up trash and cleaning common areas.
  • Empties trash cans and consolidates trash for weekly pickup.
  • Operate snow removal equipment and shovel snow to maintain parking lots and sidewalks.
  • Assists other departments with moving furniture, appliances, and unloading and storing appliances.
  • Light electrical work (replacing light bulbs and sockets).
  • Conduct general upkeep procedures and other tasks as assigned (painting, carpentry, etc.).
  • After-hours on-call availability, overtime, and weekend availability.

Qualifications

Required

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED), or three to six months related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Computer skills required: Microsoft Word & Excel, Outlook
  • Other skills required: Carpentry, appliance repair, plumbing experience, minor electrical experience, knowledge of painting, sheetrock repair, etc.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Maintains grounds by picking up trash and cleaning common areas.

Must possess basic knowledge of hand tools.

Operate snow removal equipment and shovel snow to maintain parking lots and sidewalks.

Assists other departments with moving furniture, appliances, and unloading and storing appliances.

Light electrical (replacing light bulbs and sockets).

Conduct general upkeep procedures (e.g. landscaping) and other tasks as assigned (painting, carpentry, etc.).

After-hours on-call availability, overtime, and weekend availability.

Performs other related duties as assigned by management.

HVAC experience is a plus.
