MPTCS is seeking a dedicated elementary school teacher for grades 1-5 to join their team.   • Supervises out-of-classroom activities for students during the assigned working day.
  • Plans and coordinates the work of aides, teacher assistants, and other paraprofessionals.
  • Identifies students' needs and cooperates with other professional staff members in assessing and helping students solve health, attitude, and learning problems.
  • Communicates with parents and student personnel staff members on the individual student's progress and development.
  • Develops and participates in the sponsorship of student activities and faculty committees.
  • Acts as a resource person on an interdepartmental level to relate appropriate aspects of his/her subject area to other subject areas.
  • Works to establish and maintain open lines of communication with students and their parents concerning the academic and behavioral progress of all assigned students.

WHO YOU ARE:

A dedicated elementary school teacher who will seek to accomplish MPTCS’s philosophy of education through instruction and example and provide lessons that meet students' requirements, interests, and capabilities. You will take precautions to protect students, equipment, materials, and facilities, and keep accurate records in compliance with relevant laws, policies, and regulations. You will collaborate with the administration to create and implement rules and policies regulating student conduct. You will have the ability to form interpersonal relationships with all your students and take an interest in their general well-being.

  • Education and Experience:
    • A Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university
    • A New Jersey Department of Education Standard Certificate, Certificate of Eligibility (CE), or Certificate of Eligibility with Advanced Standing (CEAS) in Elementary School Teacher in Grades K-6 or Teacher of English


          THE ROLE:
