The Interventional Radiology Technologist I at AH Rocky Mountain is a newly hired and in training position responsible for performing sterile radiographic procedures and administering contrast agents under close supervision. Responsibilities

  • Actively participate in outstanding customer service and maintain respectful relationships with all.
  • Perform sterile radiographic procedures and administer contrast agents under close supervision.
  • Provide safe care and processing of patients ranging in age from newborn to geriatric.
  • Utilize knowledge and skills for age-specific factors necessary for safe and effective procedures.
  • Address patient needs, questions, and anxieties.
  • Utilize proper positioning criteria and technical exposure factors.
  • Ensure study has correct patient demographics and RT/LT annotation when post processing.
  • Input procedural charges into the computer system.
  • Confirm proper exam/patient before releasing images to PACS.
  • Attend department meetings consistently and promote positive dialogue with respect to department objectives.
  • Assist physician with sterile procedures, anticipate their needs, and is knowledgeable of all necessary equipment and supplies.
  • Ensure aseptic techniques are observed.
  • Remove sheaths and hold arterial pressure until hemostasis.
  • Utilize two patient identifiers to confirm patient/exam accuracy before administering exam.

Qualifications

Required

  • Basic General Radiology experience
  • State license as a General Radiographer
  • American Registry of Radiologic Technologists-Radiography (ARRT (R))
  • Basic Life Support (BLS)
