Scott Humphrey Corporation is seeking an experienced Project Manager to oversee budgeting, planning, scheduling, and overall management of construction projects. Responsibilities

  • Ground-up project delivery and successful outcome from pre-construction through closeout.
  • Develop scopes of work and perform project buyout.
  • Negotiate contracts with subcontractors and other third parties. Evaluate contractor performance to ensure contractual obligations are being met.
  • Control project budget.
  • Review RFI’s, submittals, and shop drawings.
  • Manage and process pay applications and change order requests.
  • Identify, report, and resolve any issues that may impact the budget or schedule.
  • Act as liaison between architects, engineers, inspectors, and subcontractors.
  • Attend regular project/progress report meetings.
  • Partner with Superintendent on overall project performance.
  • Direct and mentor subordinate staff, i.e. Assistant Project Managers, Project Engineers.
  • Perform periodic site visits to inspect progress and quality of work.

Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, construction management or other relevant discipline
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience as a Project Manager running ground up construction projects on either Retail, Commercial, K-12, Higher Education, Healthcare, or Industrial
  • Successfully managed multiple projects to completion with values ranging from $4M-$30M (minimum)
  • Ability to organize, analyze, and problem solve challenges when they occur on assigned projects
  • Effective communication and ability to build/foster strong relationships with all internal and external stakeholders
  • Proficiency in construction-related software/technology and Microsoft Office. Procore experience is a plus

Scott Humphrey has partnered with an established General Contractor renowned nationwide for its diverse portfolio of construction projects is actively seeking experienced Project Managers. The successful candidate will be responsible for budgeting, planning, scheduling, and overall management of construction projects –ensuring they are completed according to established codes and delivered on time and within budget.
