  • Educate and counsel clients on oral health issues.
  • Prescribe medications for a variety of oral health conditions.
  • Consult with other health care providers on treatment options and procedures.
  • Document all medications, evaluations, diagnoses, treatments, outcomes, referrals and consultations.

Qualifications

Required

  • Current Washington State License to practice dentistry.
  • Experience working with diverse populations.
  • Knowledge of Dental Public Health Practice.
  • Ability to provide leadership and work as a team member in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication skills.

Preferred

  • Demonstrated experience in quadrant dentistry.
  • Demonstrated experience with removable prosthetics
  • Demonstrated experience working in a community or public health setting.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish.

SummaryPublic Health | Seattle & King County is looking for a skilled, enthusiastic and flexible dentist to fill a full-time position at the Downtown Public Health Clinic. Our program seeks to build relationships with people living homeless by providing compassionate care and low barrier access to dental services. Our providers commonly work with patients who have complex behavioral and medical needs, including substance use disorder. The candidate selected for this position will be able to work well within a team environment and demonstrate an interest in serving vulnerable adults and teens. In addition to preventive and restorative services, our clinic provides oral surgery procedures and removable prosthodontics. As is the standard for the program, staff may be asked to work outside of regular hours or from a different location for trainings or if urgently needed. Clinics provide services to an ethnically diverse population of low-income adults, including pregnant women and homeless adults and teens.
