We are looking for a Caregiver to care for our patients and facilitate their detox and recovery. The Caregiver plays a crucial role in supporting individuals recovering from substance abuse. This position involves providing compassionate care, emotional support, and assistance with daily living activities to clients. The Caregiver works as part of a multidisciplinary team to ensure a safe and therapeutic environment for clients.

Client Care and Support:

• Provide direct care and assistance with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, meal preparation, and medication administration.
• Offer emotional support and companionship to clients, fostering a positive and nurturing environment.
• Assist clients in developing healthy routines and habits.

Monitoring and Documentation:

• Observe and monitor clients’ physical and emotional conditions, reporting any changes to the clinical team.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of clients’ progress, behaviors, and any incidents.

Safety and Compliance:

• Ensure the safety and well-being of clients by adhering to facility policies and procedures.
• Assist in maintaining a clean and safe living environment, including performing light housekeeping duties as needed.
• Administer medications as prescribed and monitor clients for any adverse reactions.

Program Support:

• Assist in organizing and facilitating group activities, therapy sessions, and recreational programs.
• Support clients in attending appointments, meetings, and community activities as part of their recovery plan.

Collaboration and Communication:

• Collaborate with clinical staff, including therapists, counselors, and medical professionals, to provide holistic care to clients.
• Participate in team meetings, case conferences, and training sessions.
• Communicate effectively with clients, families, and other stakeholders regarding clients’ progress and needs.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or certification in caregiving, healthcare, or related field preferred.
• Previous experience in a caregiving role, preferably in a substance abuse treatment or mental health setting.
• Previous experience working with veterans, preferred.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Compassionate, patient, and empathetic nature.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
• Basic knowledge of substance abuse and mental health issues.
• CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and professional boundaries.

Work Schedule:

• Full-time/Part-time positions available.
• Shifts may include evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays based on facility needs.
