  • Perform all levels of preventive maintenance services on trucks, trailers, and heavy equipment.
  • Road test vehicles when necessary to diagnose malfunctions or to ensure that they are working properly.
  • Inspect brake systems, steering mechanisms, wheel bearings, and other important parts to ensure that they are in proper operating condition.
  • Communicate with the Managers through verbal and written methods to assure repairs are completed correctly.
  • Maintain work area appearance and safety.
  • Perform duties with little or no supervision and in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Use hand tools such as screwdrivers, pliers, wrenches, pressure gauges, and precision instruments, as well as power tools such as pneumatic wrenches, welding equipment, and jacks and hoists.

Qualifications

Required

  • 3 years of experience in a similar role is preferred but not required.
  • Knowledge in heavy machinery
  • Strong prioritization and time management skills
  • Strong sense of commitment and accountability
  • Experience in repairing and troubleshooting of major components such as engine, transmissions, and differentials
  • Clean driving record and background
  • Able to pass a drug test
  • Awareness of occupational hazards and safety precautions, practices, and procedures of the welding trade
  • Availability for occasional Saturdays
  • Ability to work under pressure and multitask

Compensation:

  • $34 to $45 Hourly DOE

  • Availability for occasional Saturdays.
  • Ability to work under pressure and multitask.
