  • Performs unscheduled maintenance as needed
  • Performs complex operations including engine, electrical, fuel, brake, and exhaust repairs and field tests
  • Utilizes a ladder and other elevation equipment to access the roof of tractors and containers and elevated light fixtures for repairs and maintenance
  • Operates CDL and Non-CDL vehicles tractors and straight trucks to perform road tests, as well as shuttle in and out of the garage for repairs and maintenance
  • Lifts heavy equipment (up to 100lbs) including brake drums, tires, ladders, tool chests, floor jacks, etc. when necessary
  • Documents repairs and parts on work orders completely and accurately
  • Must be thoroughly familiar with all safety provisions associated with vehicle maintenance and understand OSHA standards and provisions

Qualifications

Job Summary
We are looking for a skilled Diesel Mechanic to join our team. As a Diesel Mechanic, you will assist our customers by diagnosing and repairing issues with vehicles performance and function.

As an Auto Mechanic, you must have an in-depth understanding of all trucks (Kenworth) systems and components. You will also be responsible for maintaining repair shop equipment.

  • Must be able to utilize a ladder and other elevation equipment to access the roof of tractors and containers and elevated light fixtures for repairs and maintenance.
  • Must operate CDL and Non-CDL vehicles tractors and straight trucks to perform road tests, as well as shuttle in an out of the garage for repairs and maintenance. This is a safety sensitive job and all duties are regulated by the DOT.
  • Must be able to lift heavy equipment (up to 100lbs) including brake drums, tires, ladders, tool chests, floor jacks, etc. when necessary.
