The Industrial Maintenance Mechanic at Malarkey Roofing Products is responsible for maintaining, planning, and providing mechanical equipment maintenance to reduce delays, costs, and breakdowns within the manufacturing environment. Qualifications
Required
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- Four years related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers, sub-ordinates, and management staff
- Ability to gather and record necessary information, follow through with assigned tasks, identify problem areas, and take corrective action within a timely manner
- Ability to meet deadlines and work well under high pressure situations
- Ability to work in a warehouse and factory environment subject to hot and cold temperatures, wet and or humid conditions, loud noises, moving mechanical parts, and is occasionally exposed to high, precarious places, fumes or airborne particles, risk of electrical shock, and vibration
- Ability to work outside of normal business hours
- Tolerance for repetitive work in a fast paced, high productive work environment
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time
- Ability to lift up to 100 pounds and regularly lift and/or move up to 75 pounds
- Ability to differentiate colors and shades of colors
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include distance vision and depth perception
