  • May represent company at personnel-related hearings
  • Represent company in any HR/Safety investigations
  • Owner of Hiring Process - Jobvite, applications, employment forms, change forms and other confidential forms and records
  • Observe & enforce all company personnel, quality, safety, and food safety policies
  • Maintains a positive work atmosphere by acting and communicating effectively
  • Ensures regulatory compliance with ADA, FMLA, EEOC, etc.
  • Completes Unemployment Claims
  • Stays current on recent federal, state and case law changes and monitors labor law updates for changes that affect HR
  • Participate in strategic HR related to Turnover, Development, Retention, Conflict Management. HR KPIs, etc.
  • Audit: complete regular internal audits with HRM

Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or additional related work experience in lieu of the education requirement
  • Minimum high school diploma or equivalency required
  • 1-2 years' previous supervisor experience in a HR environment
  • Experience with Hiring & Immigration Compliance preferred
  • Experience with FMLA & ADA preferred
  • Experience with SAP & Kronos preferred
  • Bilingual preferred; English & Spanish

Position Title:HR Supervisor

Department:Human Resources

Location:Greeley, CO Value Added Plant

Salary Class:Exempt

Purpose & Scope:

Our company is in search of an HR Supervisor. This position requires the ability to supervise and coordinate activities of professional level and administrative support for employees engaged in employee relations, compensation, benefits, training, employment, labor relations, affirmative action and employment equity programs, and/or personnel research. The person in this position is also responsible for managing labor relations with local union, administration of the collective bargaining agreement and the grievance process and creating an engaged and team-oriented workforce in order to improve business results.

Principle Responsibilities:

+ Supervises the day-to-day administration of personnel policies and practices

+ Oversees and assigns employee trainings and orientation programs

+ Oversees the administration of compensations and benefits programs at the location to ensure these programs are in line with corporate programs

+ Recommends program changes or enhancements to meet human resource requirements

+ Coordinates the delivery of effective affirmative action, and other employee relations programs; such as recognition and appreciation.

+ Compliance (familiarity with Company Policy, Union Contract, State Law, Federal Law & how they intersect)

+ Stays current on recent federal, state and case law changes and monitors labor law updates for changes that affect HR

+ Participate in strategic HR related to Turnover, Development, Retention, Conflict Management. HR KPIs, etc.

+ Audit: complete regular internal audits with HRM

+ Recognizes and acts on incidents and safety risks. Consistently practices, and enforces safe work habits and drives those habits throughout the organization

+ In-depth working knowledge of Employment Laws/Regulations and Human Resources policies and procedures

+ Considerable skill in problem solving, conflict resolution, and dealing with confidential information/situations

+ Working knowledge of benefits administration and management practices

+ Basic understanding of Training Program and further development of team members

+ Other duties assigned

Qualifications:

+ Supervisory skills; good interpersonal relations; ability to handle conflict.

+ Good verbal and written communication skills.

+ Ability to lead a group

+ Manage individual employee objectives as well as team performance and building a team approach to problem solving

+ Excellent verbal and written communication skills

+ Computer skills

Requirements:

Education: Typically requires a Bachelor's degree in a related field; however, additional related work experience will be considered in lieu of the education requirement. Minimum high school diploma or equivalency required

+ Experience: 1-2 years' previous supervisor experience in a HR environment; Previous experience in food manufacturing preferred.

+ Experience with Hiring & Immigration Compliance preferred

+ Experience with FMLA & ADA preferred

+ Experience with SAP & Kronos preferred

Working Conditions:

+ Fast paced environment

+ Exposure to various chemicals, machinery, and knives

+ Slippery floors, extreme temperatures and loud noises

+ Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time

+ Schedule M-F and weekends when needed

The applicant who fills this position will be eligible for the following compensation and benefits:

+ Benefits: Vision, Medical, and Dental coverage begin after 60 days of employment;

+ Paid Time Off: sick leave, vacation, and 6 company observed holidays;

+ 401(k): company match begins after the first year of service and follows the company vesting schedule;

+ Base salary range of $58-70k and;

This position is eligible to participate in the Company's annual bonus plan, the amount of bonus varies and is subject to the standard terms and conditions of the incentive program;
