  • Attends all mandatory in-service programs and training.
  • Supports the goals, objectives, and mission statement of Whitsons.
  • Performs all other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Required

  • High school graduate or equivalent.
  • Ability to speak and read English to understand job assignments, including reading and understanding recipes.
  • Extensive physical demands including lifting, bending, pushing, and pulling.
  • Ability to use POS system.
  • Exposure to extreme temperatures due to cooking and refrigeration equipment.
  • Basic English Reading and Writing Skills.
  • Able to Pass Background Screening.

SUMMARY: This position is responsible for making and serving nutritious meals for students in a safe and healthful manner. Mon - Fri 8:00AM - 1:30PM-locations/hours subject to change Assists in preparing of food and have some cooking skills. * Serves meals to students and staff. * Performs cleaning duties, including sweeping and mopping of floors, cleaning of equipment and work areas, dish & pot washing * Fills beverage machines & vending machines, sets up hot and/or cold food area. * Delivers, when necessary, food to staff, students and catering events. * Prepares and serve food according to menus, ability to read receipes and follow Prepare Salad Bar & Deli Bar according to program plans Ability to use a slicer * Checks and stores incoming supplies. * Serve Safe Certified a plus * Participates on safety & training courses as required. * Attends all mandatory in-service programs and training * Supports the goals, objective and mission statement set forth by Whitsons. * Performs all other duties as assigned.
