Full Job Description

The Economics Department at Johns Hopkins University is looking to hire a Professional Teaching Assistant for a full-time Junior Lecturer position with benefits. The person hired would act as a Teaching Assistant for up to four courses in Economics in spring 2025, which would include teaching a section or two of an Elements class. The Junior Lecturer could also be asked to do advising, which would be a course release.

Minimum qualifications: Bachelors in Economics. Some experience as a teaching assistant or tutoring undergraduates is expected. Familiarity with Johns Hopkins Economics courses is a plus. This position is for one semester, but renewable contingent upon performance and/or availability of funds.

Instructional and administrative responsibilities of the position include:

- Possibility of leading sections of course(s) as a Teaching Assistant.

- Possibility of acting as Academic Advisor to Economics majors or minors.
