  • Manages all clinic supply inventory including placing clinic orders, stocking, and managing supply rotation.
  • Communicates all clinic maintenance needs to supervisor and is involved in coordinating maintenance staff work being done in the clinic.
  • Promotes a positive team environment and willingly floats to satellite clinics to fulfill required staffing needs.

Qualifications

Required

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Graduate from accredited medical assistant program with current Medical Assistant Certification through the American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA) or American Medical Technologists (AMT) or graduate of a surgical technology accredited program and Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) or ophthalmic technician certification.
  • Currently active on the Nebraska Medication Aid Registry or within first 30 days of employment, Medication Aid Registry must maintain current thereafter.
  • CPR (BLS) certification.
  • Prior working knowledge of using a personal computer and electronic medical records.
  • Able to maintain complex/confidential records.

Job Summary:

In a career as an Ophthalmic Technician, you join us in providing life-changing care to patients from across the region. In this role, you will provide direct patient care under the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse, non-physician practitioner, or physician.

Schedule: Full-Time, Monday - Thursday 7:30 AM - 5:00 PM, Friday 7:30 AM- 11:30 AM

Locations: Downtown and Pacific Street Clinics

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES:

+ Provides direct care to patients and families in area of practice.

+ Collects patient history to include reason for visit, allergies, medications and medical history.

+ Performs a variety of diagnostic eye tests on patients of all ages.

+ Assists provider with patient exam, procedures and delivery of patient care.
