The Accounting Manager/Senior Accountant at Robert Half will collaborate in the development, implementation, and oversight of company-wide accounting policies and controls, support the close process, partner with various stakeholders to enhance reporting, and lead operational improvement initiatives. This role involves significant responsibility for financial activities, including inventory, distributor and sales commissions, customer agreements, AP, AR, fixed assets, intercompany, and consolidation. The ideal candidate will have leadership experience, a strong accounting background, and proficiency in NetSuite.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate in the development, implementation and oversight of company-wide accounting policies and controls consistent with SEC, US GAAP and Sarbanes-Oxley compliance.
  • Support the close process, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of month-end and quarter-end close activities, including journal entries, reconciliations, and consolidation.
  • Partner with colleagues in accounting, external financial reporting, board of directors and other stakeholder groups to develop and enhance reporting.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert on intercompany cross charges and related research as it relates to compensation.
  • Streamline existing processes and procedures to improve efficiency and controls.
  • Support external audit and internal audit support by satisfying all requests timely and accurately.
  • Coach, mentor and develop staff to scale a high performing team.
  • Lead operational improvement initiatives and other ad hoc projects
  • Consolidate, review, analyze, and report disaggregated and consolidated results to Chief Financial Officer, other finance functions, and senior management.
  • Responsible for all financial activities including the Inventory, Distributor and Sales Commissions, Customer Agreements, AP, AR, Fixed Assets, Intercompany, Customer Agreements and Consolidation.
  • Oversee intercompany accounting and related processes, including process improvements.

Qualifications

Required

  • 2+ years' experience in leadership role.
  • 4+ years of work experience in accounting in roles of increasing responsibility.
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or Business or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience leading and shortening the month end close and driving process improvements.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Experience working with NetSuite.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office software including Word and PowerPoint and significant experience using Excel.

Preferred

  • CPA license and public accounting experience.
  • Medical Device/pharma industry experience.

- Ability to train, mentor and motivate team members.

- Experience leading and shortening the month end close and driving process improvements.

- Excellent written and oral communication skills.

- Experience working with NetSuite.

- Proficiency in Microsoft Office software including Word and PowerPoint and significant experience using Excel.

- Medical Device/pharma industry experience a plus.
