Responsibilities

  • Interact with assigned customer base, maintaining all customer paperwork, installed systems, and equipment.
  • Closely interact with customer elected carriers, surveyors, etc., regarding orders and product movement.
  • Manage the CSR team in preparation of all product movement orders and transfer orders.
  • Supervises the CSR team to follow security regulations and procedures as stated in the terminal's Facility Security Plan.
  • Ensures the CSR team properly uses/maintain the Galahad system.
  • Analyzes product movement operations for accuracy and accountability.
  • Oversees the TMS system and inventory systems for accuracy, periodic reporting, system improvements, process improvements, troubleshooting, set up and training
  • Completes month-end-close to provide timely information to accounting for billing, and to customers for their month-end-close.
  • Ensure that barge, truck, rail, and shipping orders from customers are efficiently disseminated to the terminal's operations departments in a timely manner
  • Meet with customers, internal stakeholders, and support groups to discuss terminal inventory processing operation and/or inventory issues and resolutions
  • Manage and dual verify all customer's order creations have been done properly by personnel to insure proper billing.
  • Close out and enter into Galahad Inventory system all plant operation orders generated in the terminal.
  • Work with Terminal Management to meet financial targets established in budgets. Assist with development of annual operating budgets
  • Work with Accounting Manger on weekly revenue/expenditure forecast, on end of month close and daily customer research
  • Provide leadership, training and development to all CSR team members
  • Maintain a positive and professional atmosphere for all employees and visitors
  • Track departmental and operational KPIs to evaluate operational performance
  • Prepare trends for Quarterly Partnership Meetings with Customers
  • Support Incident Command structure during elevated incidents, emergencies, and weather events
  • Implement process improvement initiatives to capture efficiencies and prevent incidents

Qualifications

Required

  • High School Diploma
  • Some College or Four year college degree in a business curriculum preferred or equivalent experience in a traffic, transportation or fleet management role with major responsibility at a bulk liquid terminal or packaging and warehouse facility
  • Must be receptive to co-worker guidance and suggestion, and, evaluate accordingly.
  • Handle non-routine customer requests, problems, and inquiries that could entail in-depth research, complex reasoning, and decision making.
  • Must have very good PC skills, with above average skills in Excel, Word, and Microsoft Outlook. A working knowledge of Access is desirable.
  • Must be self-motivated and capable of working with minimal supervision and/or direction.
  • Organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks are essential. Must be a problem solver with the ability to find resolutions.
  • Must be able to secure and maintain Transportation Workers Identification Credential (TWIC)

Position Description

The basic function of this position is to supervise and coordinate the customer service rep team for KM marine terminal customers which includes but is not limited to: coordinating and executing order processing, scheduling, bill of lading preparation, and management of inventory levels. The incumbent interfaces extensively with terminal operations personnel, co-workers, customers, and, regulatory personnel as required.

Position Requirements
