Responsibilities
- Perform medication pre-authorizations and refill requests
- Authorize and perform CGRP injections
- Process patient assistance applications for specialty medications
- Research and review prescription formulary changes / requirements for neurological medications
- Order and maintain pharmaceutical sample supply program
- Perform pre-certifications for procedures and infusions
- Provide follow-up to lab results and medication changes
- CPT and diagnosis code determinations
- Assisting physician with patient set-up and preparations
- Perform nurse visits and patient education
- Triaging incoming phone calls
- Check-in and check-out when needed
- Rooming patients and performing data collections, vitals, EMR input
- Sending outgoing referrals and managing fax in-box / distributing faxes to proper staff
- Ordering / managing general inventory and office supplies
- Complete daily logbooks
- Assist with staff training
- Back up assistance with Botox injections, point of care contact, chart preparations, data collection, vitals, and EMR input
Qualifications
Required
- Minimum of 2 years previous experience as an LPN preferred
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- LPN Licensure with South Carolina Board of Nursing
- Computer knowledge

**Position Summary** : The Physician Office Nurse is responsible for the provision of nursing care as reflected in the SC LPN scope of practice including health data collection, administering medications, implementing patient interventions, assessing patient responses, and basic health teaching.
Specific responsibilities include:

**QUALIFICATIONS**
**Experience**
Minimum of 2 years previous experience as an LPN preferred.
**Education**
High School Diploma or Equivalent, required.
**Licenses / Certifications**
LPN Licensure with South Carolina Board of Nursing required.
**Knowledge / Skills**
Possesses skills and abilities required in a multifaceted environment in addition to those related to nursing.
Computer knowledge, required.
Phlebotomy skills and experience, preferred.
**Physical Requirements: Light Physical Agility Test (PAT) Rating**
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently (activity or condition exists from 1/3 to 2/3 of the time) required to stand, sit, and walk; frequently to use hands, fingers; and frequently to talk or hear. The employee must exert up to 15 pounds of force occasionally (activity or condition exists up to 1/3 of the time), and/or up to 5 pounds of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects.
