Lactalis US Yogurt is seeking an experienced Production Supervisor for our weekend day shift team in Brattleboro, VT. - Drives accountability for production KPIs by coaching and engaging employees in process improvement initiatives.
- Inspects products to verify conformance to specifications and directs setup and adjustments to machines.
- Coordinates production schedules and estimates worker hour requirements for job assignments.
- Engages in employee training evaluations to ensure proper training is provided for each new employee.
- Recommends improvements to production methods, equipment performance, and quality of product.
- Maintains time and production records as required.
- Collaborates cross-functionally with Maintenance and QA to ensure new products and processes meet safety, quality, and production goals.
- Provides supervision of assigned employees in scheduling and daily activities.
- Engages in semi-annual performance reviews with direct reports and provides actionable feedback.
- Trains and instructs employees regarding production and equipment standards and processes.
- Follows appropriate escalation procedures for production, quality, personnel, and safety issues.
- Leads by example with the CWD "Code of Quality".
- Takes ownership of the shift and makes sound decisions to support safety, quality, and production goals.
Qualifications
Required
- Bachelor's degree preferred, or HS/GED and minimum of 2 years plant supervisory experience.
- 2 years' experience with food manufacturing. Dairy production a plus.
- Experience with SQF or BRC audits preferred
- Experience leading and following Safety/Security Policies and Procedures.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and computer-based applications.
- Ability to follow all Sanitation and Quality Policies and Procedures.
- Excellent verbal/written communication skills.
- Ability to adapt to changing organizational and operational needs.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Skill in organization and prioritization, and attention to detail.
- Strong team player and leader with the ability to work across multiple functions and disciplines.
- Ability to select, coach, develop, engage, and retain a team of employees.

+ Fosters a productivity mindset by utilizing basic Lean/Six Sigma methodologies.
+ Maintains accurate training records while maintaining growth of knowledge of staff through cross-training and refresher training.
+ Drives accountability for production KPIs by coaching and engaging employees in process improvement initiatives.
+ Inspects products to verify conformance to specifications and directs setup and adjustments to machines.

+ Evaluates needs in production for daily assignment of duties; establishes or adjusts work procedures to meet production schedules.
