Overview

Our client is seeking two (2) CAD Drafters to join their team and contribute to the mapping and document services department. As a CAD Drafter, you will play a vital role in the creation and maintenance of engineering drawings using CAD software, primarily GTech and Microstation. You will collaborate closely with a team of 45 professionals, including engineers and fellow drafters, to support conceptual designs and enhance utility infrastructure projects.

Responsibilities

• Creating detailed drawings, plans, and layouts based on specifications provided by engineers, architects, or designers.
• Collaborating with engineers, architects, and other professionals to understand project requirements and specifications.
• Incorporating design changes and modifications into existing drawings.
• Ensuring that drawings comply with industry standards and regulations.
• Reviewing and interpreting technical drawings, blueprints, and sketches.
• Creating 2D and 3D models of structures, components, and systems.
• Performing calculations and measurements to ensure accuracy of drawings.
• Organizing and maintaining drawing files and documentation.
• Communicating and coordinating with project team members to ensure timely completion of drawings.
• Providing support during the construction or manufacturing process by clarifying drawings and providing additional information as needed.
• CAD Drafters should have a strong understanding of drafting principles and practices, as well as proficiency in CAD software such as AutoCAD or SolidWorks.
