Responsibilities

  • Lead trade studies and make justifiable decisions based on trade-offs.
  • Set the technical goal and strategy for delivering on requirements of high scale, reliability, performance, and development velocity.
  • Lead a team of software engineers and mentor others in software engineering work.
  • Lead the design and development of the company's ground, cloud, and airborne software application.
  • Ensure the selected technology architecture is aligned with the company's business goals.

Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelor of Science degree in engineering, engineering technology, chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science
  • 9+ years’ experience in software development, with at least 3 years in software leadership role
  • 5+ years’ of experience in software architecture role for cloud-based or airborne systems
  • Experience in multiple programming languages, including Java, C++, and Python
  • Experience leading Agile software development teams

Preferred

  • Experience with Linux base OS (such as Ubuntu, Yocto)
  • Cyber security and networking programming experience
  • Experience with cloud computing platforms, such as AWS and Azure
  • Experience with DevOps tools and processes
  • Experience in the DO-178C (or equivalent) lifecycle
