The Maintenance Supervisor at T C Industries is responsible for overseeing maintenance operations across three shifts to maintain the flow of work in the production maintenance work areas.   • Build team spirit, pride and camaraderie within team.
  • Promote safety, environmental responsibility and continuous quality improvement in accordance with company policies.
  • Complies with all the policies and procedures set forth in the Company Handbook.
  • Utilize performance based management tools to improve the standard of performance and development of the team members.
  • Conduct interviews and make hiring recommendations to managers.
  • Ensure all team members are trained in all aspects of their role, including health and safety and quality control instructions, in order to maintain a cross functional, multi skilled workforce.
  • Deploy resources to best meet daily production goals and on time delivery.
  • Champion ISO, Lean and Six Sigma, demonstrating knowledge and commitment to the process. Uphold and sustain 5S projects.
  • Conduct process and safety audits focused on eliminating unsafe work practices and conditions. Lead the development of a safety-minded culture. Sustain good housekeeping and 5S activities in area of responsibility.
  • Work with Maintenance Planner/Scheduler to maintain project work flow and to assign and ensure preventative and predicative maintenance work orders and inspections are performed, as scheduled.
  • Monitor employee work activities, troubleshoot and diagnose unusual problems and take necessary corrective action.
  • Coordinate project work activities with both internal and external resources to maintain project work flow and meet deadlines.
  • Monitor and maintain supplies, tools and part inventory and order, as needed.
  • Document print/procedure changes and create and/or update work instructions, as required.
  • Keep Project & Maintenance Manager informed of unusual problems or delays.
  • Performs other duties and responsibilities as apparent and/or assigned.
