Blue Origin is seeking an early career Systems Engineer I for a conversion internship to join their team in Van Horn, TX. Responsibilities

  • Engage in projects that may include system definition, systems test, system integration, system safety, operations, and system verification of fluid, mechanical, propulsion, and electrical systems.

Qualifications

Required

  • Successfully completed an internship with Blue Origin in 2024.
  • Enrolled or recently graduated student attending a college or university.
  • Able to start working full-time on or before September of 2025.
  • Minimum of a B.S. degree in aerospace engineering, mechanical engineering, or similar discipline.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team on rapid development programs.
  • Self-driven with the ability to seek out requirements with minimal direction.
  • Strong written, verbal, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Passion for Blue's Mission with a strong desire to continuously learn and improve.

Preferred

  • M.S. degree or PhD in aerospace engineering or mechanical engineering.

Van Horn Specific information

Being at the heart of Blue Origin operations, the West Texas Site in Van Horn, TX offers eligible employee's additional attractive financial incentives to supplement their competitive base earnings, including a living allowance and relocation assistance. Eligibility for these additional benefits is based on the employee's ability to permanently relocate to Van Horn, TX, or travel to Van Horn from another Blue location a minimum of 50% of the time.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
  • Based upon your desired career path, your projects may include many aspects of applied systems engineering including system definition, systems test, system integration, system safety, operations and system verification of fluid, mechanical, propulsion and electrical systems.
  • Specific duties are subject to our business unit objectives.

Compensation Range for:
CA applicants is $81,090.00-$113,526.00;CO applicants is $74,332.50-$104,065.50;WA applicants is $81,090.00-$113,526.00
