The Advanced Practice Provider Clinical Compliance Coordinator at Access TeleCare will collaborate with various teams including the Advanced Practice Provider team, Quality and Compliance, and the Credentialing, Licensing and Privileging teams to ensure compliance with national practice environments, Joint Commission standards, and credentialing and licensure requirements. This role involves maintaining compliance documents, facilitating meetings, providing compliance documentation reviews, ensuring practice compliance, and developing compliance work plans. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter who can thrive in a fast-paced environment, possess strong problem-solving skills, and have the ability to work independently while being part of a team.

Responsibilities

  • Understand and maintain the APP practice environment compendium for Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants in every state
  • Facilitate monthly physician/APP supervision and clinical practice review meetings as required
  • Provide monthly physician compliance documentation review
  • Ensure APP practice compliance with Joint Commission standards
  • Collaborate with Quality and Compliance team to maintain appropriate clinical practice standards
  • Assist members of the Credentialing, Licensing and Privileging (CLP) team with APP processes
  • Display a solid working knowledge of standard computer applications including Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint) and other web-based applications
  • Maintain strong working relationships with clinical staff, outside agencies, coworkers, and management
  • Serve as a self-starter with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced and changing environment
  • Develop compliance work plans based on industry-wide standards
  • Conduct audits and monitoring based on findings and scheduled work plans
  • Spearhead the development of compliance education and provide APP/provider support services
  • Ensure APPs are current in compliance/regulatory training
  • Maintain quality records based on legal, regulatory, and policy requirements

Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing and/or licensure as an Advanced Practice Provider (preferred)
  • Experience in a credentialing, licensing, and privileging role for Advanced Practice Providers with a national scope (preferred)
  • Previous experience in a compliance role (risk, Joint Commission, quality, etc.) (preferred)
  • Excellent computer skills and familiarity with Microsoft Office programs
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills through various channels
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to work independently, but function as part of a team
  • Detail oriented
  • Flexible and willingness to take on new tasks with guidance
  • Professional written, verbal communication, and analytical skills
  • Excellent organizational skill with attention to detail
  • Understand and implement systems to ensure compliance with local, state, federal and organizational requirements
  • Ability to collaborate and provide exemplary provider service
  • Ability to thrive in a high growth fast paced organization
  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time

What you’ll be responsible for:

The Advanced Practice Provider (APP) Compliance Coordinator will collaborate with and support the Clinical Services team, specifically the Advanced Practice Provider team, Quality and Compliance, and the Credentialing, Licensing and Privileging teams as it relates to APP practice and compliance. The APP Compliance Coordinator will be responsible for key aspects pertaining to national practice environments, Joint Commission standards, and credentialing and licensure requirements. A successful person in this role will function as the subject matter expert and demonstrate the ability to work with key stakeholders in multiple departments.

  • Understand and maintain the APP practice environment compendium for Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants in every state

  • Measure, analyze, generate, and present reports on compliance processes to identify areas for improvement
  • Provide APP/provider support services including provider relations, coordination of compliance requirements, and escalating issues as necessary
  • Responsible for ensuring APPs are current in compliance/regulatory training
  • Spearheads the development of compliance work plans based on industry-wide standards
  • Conduct audits and monitoring based on findings and scheduled work plans
  • Serve as a resource and provides APP Compliance education
  • Maintain quality records based on legal, regulatory, and policy requirements
  • Contribute to team efforts by accurately completing other duties as assigned
