As a Maintenance Specialist I at Goodwill of North Georgia, you will be responsible for maintaining all aspects of building maintenance for stores and delivery centers, including repairs and maintenance of physical structures and equipment. Responsibilities

  • Maintain Stores, Career Centers, ADC, SSC and GNG/GING site appearance by complying with company policies and procedures.
  • Ensure sites are maintained in compliance with current ordinances and codes, with repairs or modifications completed with appropriate permits and to professional standards.
  • Repair and maintain Stores, Career Centers, ADC, SSC and GNG/GING site basic plumbing, electrical and physical structure in accordance with building codes.
  • Maintain and repair light fixtures and ballast as needed.
  • Maintain repair logs and checklists to ensure assigned MMS Tickets are completed, work documented, and closed.
  • Perform Stores, Career Centers, ADC, SSC and GNG/GING site safety inspections; estimate cost of labor and repairs to be communicated to FS Maintenance Manager and/or FS Maintenance Director.
  • Maintain the integrity of walls, installation of doors and windows, paint selection and preparation.

Qualifications

Required

  • High School Diploma or completion of a vocational training program in building maintenance.
  • Two (2) years' experience in facility maintenance.
  • Understanding of basic electrical systems and ability to read and interpret blue prints.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills as well as interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to demonstrate self-awareness.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends.
  • Ability to collaborate and work in a team environment, professional appearance, independent worker that completes tasks without direct supervision.
  • Maintain dependable transportation and communication devices.
  • Maintain a valid driver's license while maintaining a good driving record and meeting the standards of the Agency's insurance carriers.
  • Dexterity to use tools associated with the scope of basic knowledge for the position.
  • Ability to comply with Federal vaccine mandate per contract site with or without a reasonable accommodation.

What we're looking for:

Working Environment Conditions/Requirements:

+ Must be able to meet all physical requirements to perform the duties of the position including the ability to bend, reach, grasp, stand and/or walk for extended periods of time as well as the ability to push, pull and lift up to 50lbs with or without accommodation.

+ Ability to tolerate environmental issues such as dust, heat, cold.

+ Agility to be able to crawl, climb, twist, bend, reach, grasp, lift, lay on hard surfaces, and work in confined spaces.
