  • Prepares and reviews documentation including SSPs, Risk Assessment Reports, C&A packages, and SRTMs.
  • Supports security authorization activities in compliance with NIST RMF.
  • Interacts with customers, IT staff, and high-level corporate officers to define and achieve required IA objectives.
  • Provides daily oversight and direction to contractor ISSOs.
  • Serves as an ISSM.

Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or related discipline from an accredited college or university or 4 years of additional experience as an ISSO may be substituted in lieu of degree.
  • DoD 8570 compliance with 1AM Level I or higher certification.
  • 15 years of experience as an ISSO with at least 3 years in knowledge of current security tools, hardware/software security implementation; communication protocols; and encryption techniques/tools.
  • Must have current/active TS/SCI w Polygraph clearance.

ManTech is currently looking for Information Systems Security Officer **to join our team** in the **Ft. Meade, MD area** . In this role, you will develop, maintain, and enhance complex and diverse Big-Data cloud systems based upon documented requirements.

+ Provides support for a program, organization, system, or enclave's information assurance program. Provides support for proposing, coordinating, implementing, and enforcing information systems security policies, standards, and methodologies.

+ Maintains operational security posture for an information system or program to ensure information systems security policies, standards, and procedures are established and followed.

+ Assists with the management of security aspects of the information system and performs day-to-day security operations of the system.

+ Evaluate security solutions to ensure the meet security requirements for processing classified information.

+ Performs vulnerability/risk assessment analysis to support certification and accreditation. Provides configuration management for information system security software, hardware, and firmware.

+ Manages changes to system and assesses the security impact of those changes. Prepares and reviews documentation to include SSPs, Risk Assessment Reports, C&A packages, and SRTMs. Supports security authorization activities in compliance with NIST RMF.

**Minimum Qualification:**

**Clearance Requirements:**

+ Must have current/active TS/SCI w Polygraph

**Physical Requirements:**

+ Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50%.

+ Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine and computer printer.

+ The person in this position frequently communicates with co-workers, management, and customers, which may involve delivering presentations.
