  • Perform IV therapy under the direction of a Registered Nurse.
  • Document all activities/interventions, patient/family responses, medication dispensed/prescribed, etc., in the medical record.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality related to medical records and other data.
  • Promote wellness by providing patient education materials, communicating physician advice/instructions.

Qualifications

Required

  • Graduate of an approved LPN school of nursing.
  • CPR is required based on AHA standards that include both a didactic and skills demonstration component within 30 days of hire
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) OR Basic Life Support (BLS) OR Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)
  • Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)

Preferred

  • One year of clinical experience

Located in Cumberland, MD - UPMC Western Maryland's Center for Hope & Healing is seeking a Casual LPN to provide support as needed!

Pay Range for this position is $17.04 - $26.01

The Center for Hope & Healing (CHH) is an 8-bed inpatient mental health diversion residential crisis service facility. We offer administration, discharge planning, case management, and medication supervision. The LPN on our team will be observing medications being administered, assisting with medical referrals, and patient education for health-related matters. The CHH is looking for an LPN to assist with consumer services, while they maintain a warm, friendly, and hospitable environment. Primary responsibilities will be answering questions, obtaining clinical information, and documentation of all duties previously mentioned. All individuals utilizing this service are considered medically stable and do not require intrusive health interventions (i.e. IV medications), or assistance with ADLs.
