Software Developer

Description We are offering a long term contract employment opportunity for a Software Developer, based in Solon, Ohio. This role will primarily involve maintaining and enhancing our custom software system, and will allow for remote work within the US time zone. You will be working within the IT industry, specifically focusing on system management and software development.

Responsibilities:

- Maintain the execution of the custom software system by cleaning erroneous data, connection or system files

- Manage user access and act as a secondary point of contact for the system

- Perform minor changes in the system scripts and databases as required for program execution

- Backup the primary developer of the custom software system as and when required

- Ensure all incidents and changes are fully documented in accordance with regulations and procedures

- Write, complete or extend system documentation as per organizational requirements

- Work with key stakeholders to identify parts of the system that are in use and those that are not

- Maintain a working development environment relative to the technologies used in the program

- Utilize your skills in Atlassian Jira, Backend Development, Bug Tracking, C++, Database, AB Testing, Agile Scrum, Ajax, API Development, ASP.NET, Microsoft 365 Enterprise, SAP, Microsoft SQL, and Visual Basic .Net (VB.NET) to perform your duties effectively Requirements - Proficiency in Atlassian Jira for effective project management

- Proven experience in Backend Development

- Familiarity with Bug Tracking to ensure product quality

- Strong skills in C++ programming language

- Understanding of Database Management Systems (DBMS)

- Experience in AB Testing to optimize user experience

- Knowledge of Agile Scrum methodologies

- Ability to use Ajax for creating asynchronous web applications

- Experience in API Development for seamless data exchange

- Proficiency in ASP.NET for building robust web applications

- Familiarity with Microsoft 365 Enterprise for business operations

- Experience in SAP for efficient enterprise resource planning

- Knowledge of Microsoft SQL for database querying
