Responsibilities
- Manage all new equipment kick-off meetings with pertinent departments
- Monitor the progress of installations and startups to their timelines
- Develop timelines and prioritize workload to meet schedule needs
- Report project status and action items to management on scheduled basis
- Oversee and coordinate the manufacturing of internal machine shop
- Coordinate and lead project reviews
- Coordinate build efforts and manage to program timeline
- Research and purchase required outside tooling when needed
- Perform tooling studies and coordinate process improvements
- Work with departments to develop all machine inspection check sheets per operation
- Final review and sign-off of all inspection check sheets
- Develop, review, and maintenance of plant layouts
- Develop, review, maintenance, and control of PMs
- Participate in cost savings projects
- Implement new tooling/fixture/machine concepts to reduce product cost
- Implement quick change over processes to reduce set-up times
- Participate in corrective action meetings to investigate root causes and implement engineering changes where needed
- Assist engineering department with all data management, engineering changes, and all other related engineering documentation when needed
- Support corrective actions as required
- Assist with customer activities/support as requested
Qualifications
Required
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, models, drawings and technical specifications
- Extensive working knowledge of manufacturing practices in a diverse range of processes
- Project management experience preferred
- Excellent organizational, analytical, interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work in a fast paced and varying environment
