Responsibilities

  • Manage all new equipment kick-off meetings with pertinent departments
  • Monitor the progress of installations and startups to their timelines
  • Develop timelines and prioritize workload to meet schedule needs
  • Report project status and action items to management on scheduled basis
  • Oversee and coordinate the manufacturing of internal machine shop
  • Coordinate and lead project reviews
  • Coordinate build efforts and manage to program timeline
  • Research and purchase required outside tooling when needed
  • Perform tooling studies and coordinate process improvements
  • Work with departments to develop all machine inspection check sheets per operation
  • Final review and sign-off of all inspection check sheets
  • Develop, review, and maintenance of plant layouts
  • Develop, review, maintenance, and control of PMs
  • Participate in cost savings projects
  • Implement new tooling/fixture/machine concepts to reduce product cost
  • Implement quick change over processes to reduce set-up times
  • Participate in corrective action meetings to investigate root causes and implement engineering changes where needed
  • Assist engineering department with all data management, engineering changes, and all other related engineering documentation when needed
  • Support corrective actions as required
  • Assist with customer activities/support as requested

Qualifications

  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, models, drawings and technical specifications
  • Extensive working knowledge of manufacturing practices in a diverse range of processes
  • Project management experience preferred
  • Excellent organizational, analytical, interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to work in a fast paced and varying environment

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office software
  • Bachelor's degree (B.A.) or equivalent from four-year college or university and one to ten years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
