The Director of Radiology Services at AdventHealth Tampa is responsible for the daily operations, strategic planning, compliance, quality assurance, safety, and operational budgets for multiple modalities in the full Imaging services line, Radiation Oncology, and Internal Transport department. Responsibilities

  • Responsible for daily operations oversight of CT, MR, Ultrasound, Nursing, Nuclear Medicine, Mobile PET/CT, Diagnostic Radiology, Interventional Radiology, Imaging Nursing Services, Radiation Oncology and Internal Transport.
  • Uses skills and expertise to provide risk management with accurate information through review & research of confidential clinical information.
  • Demonstrates positive professional work ethic in regard to timely communication, attendance at scheduled meetings and participates in leadership opportunities to support the hospital mission.
  • Promotes a culture of excellence by establishing expectations and maintaining consistency through accountability.
  • Provides excellent customer service while maintaining cost effective operations management.
  • Uses human resources management skills to oversee a diverse population of staff supervisors of respective modalities; including hiring/terminations. Coordinates with HR for approval to post positions using the appropriate software in place at that time.

Qualifications

Required

  • Graduate of AMA approved Radiologic Technologist or Nuclear Medicine Technology program.
  • Minimum seven (7) years hospital-based clinical experience.
  • Minimum three (3) years leadership/supervisory/lead tech experience.
  • State of Florida Certified Radiologic Technologist License
  • ARRT (R) or NMTCB Certification

The role you’ll contribute:

The Director of Ancillary Services is responsible for daily operations, strategic planning, compliance, quality assurance, safety & operational budgets for multiple modalities in the full Imaging services line, Radiation Oncology and Internal Transport department. They also promote a constructive work ethic to ensure high quality delivery of patient care while maintaining a highly engaged workforce. Must be committed to education and willing to participate in the direct mentoring of leaders reporting to him/her. Responsible for Administrative oversight and operational support for Transport Services.
