Role Summary:
The Global Supply and Sourcing Manager (GSSM) Role is responsible to determine sourcing strategy for equipment, negotiate best total cost of ownership, ensure on->me delivery, and manage vendor relationships.
Role Description:
Client is seeking an experienced Procurement and Supply Chain Professional to join the Capex GSSM team.
Effectively work with suppliers to negotiate optimal terms for sourcing. Understand the trade- offs between cost, volume, and quality in order to strike agreements that meet Client’s performance criteria and secure long-term supply continuity.
Collaborate across the Client organization, (Engineering, Operations, Global Supply Management teams) to ensure business objectives are met.
Includes the ability to rapidly synthesize and communicate findings to senior leaders and to actively identify potential supply risks that can affect product strategy.
Optimize supply chain performance through cost and scenario analysis, and benchmarking. Develop an in-depth understanding of value-added manufacturing processes and costs, and build should-cost models to drive best-in-class pricing for Client.
Assess and mitigate risks to the business. Manage global supply chain disruptions in real time with the support of an international team.
Key Qualifications:
Experience in fast-paced procurement and supply chain environment
Knowledge in global supplier development and management in a multinational environment Strong communication, presentation, analytical and critical thinking skills
Experience and talent in negotiation
Ability to handle sudden setbacks in a dynamic environment
Ability to make quick decisions with 80% information
Education & Experience:
BA/BS + 3 years of relevant experience, Masters or MBA is a plus
