  • Participate in an on-call rotation for off-hours incidents.
  • Ensure systems are compliant with SOX and SOC controls.
  • Participate in continuous process improvements and cross-team projects.

Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
  • Extensive experience with VMware 7.0 or higher, including vCenter, vSphere, and the vRealize Suite.
  • Expertise in data protection technologies (Rubrik, CommVault, NetBackup, Veeam).
  • Familiarity with disaster recovery tools such as SRM and Zerto.
  • Proficiency in automation with PowerShell/PowerCLI.
  • Experience with AWS and cloud technologies.
  • Familiarity with SOX and SOC controls.
  • Strong interpersonal communication, ability to work independently, and excellent customer service.

Preferred

  • VMware Certified Professional (VCP) preferred.
  • Proven ability to operate in a global environment, ideally within finance or other regulated industries.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with global teams.

Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled Systems Engineer to join our team. The Systems Engineer will be primarily responsible for the administration, enhancement, and problem resolution of our enterprise VMware and Data Protection environments. This is a fully remote role, with a preference for candidates located in the East Coast time zone.

You will focus on maintaining a highly available, secure environment through best practices, continuous learning, and process improvement. In addition to managing and configuring VMware environments, you will be tasked with troubleshooting, reporting, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure system reliability and performance.


Pay Rate: $40 per hour (W2)


Key Responsibilities:
