The Datacenter Technician is responsible for the deployment of NPI engineering projects involving AMD IP (Silicon, HW, SW) and debug of AMD server hardware infrastructure. This role requires a blend of technical expertise, inventory management, and physical ability to handle equipment. The position is onsite in Addison, TX, for a 1-year contract.
Responsibilities
- Provide engineering expertise to technical teams spanning multiple disciplines and geographies
- Engage with internal stakeholders in product planning, development, and validation activities
- Deploy and maintain NPI server products while partnering with other engineers and contractors
- Track and report status vs. objectives throughout the lifecycle of the program
Qualifications
Required
- Data Center/Hardware Infrastructure experience
- Inventory, Asset Management and shipping/receiving experience
- Experience in high tech industry
- Good communication skills, both written and oral
- High attention to detail and good follow through in a fast-paced environment
- Experience in areas of data center system deployment, software deployment, and validation
- Familiarity with testing tools, methodologies, and defect tracking
- Ability to function independently with little direct supervision
- Physical Requirements – Candidate needs to be able to lift 50lbs and be flexible enough to get under a raised floor as needed
- 0 - 2 years experience in high tech industry
- Relevant degree or equivalent experience
- Skilled in MS Office tool suites, Confluence, MS Sharepoint
