  • Communicate and engage closely with vendors, photography, E-commerce, and TV merchant teams
  • Serve as a resource for product information coordination and execution with cross-functional teams
  • Communicate and execute product level information with vendors
  • Support inventory purchase order process through data entry, maintenance, and tracking
  • Partner with Planning and cross-functional teams to ensure product availability across all ShopHQ mediums
  • Identify and recommend new products or business opportunities
  • Collaborate with cross-functional groups to ensure successful vendor assortment launch
  • Utilize reporting resources to analyze existing style productivity, vendor performance, and deliver recommendations for action plans
  • Analyze industry, competitor, and category trends to identify new product opportunities

Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience preferred
  • 1 or more years of experience in a retail environment (Multichannel experience preferred)
  • Attention to detail
  • Flexible and adaptable
  • Strong communication skills
  • Analytical and critical thinking
  • Accustomed to communicating with internal and external partners
  • Able to operate independently and work closely with the buying team and other cross-functional teams

OVERVIEW

The Associate Buyer helps drive the Buyer's overall business and is accountable to help achieve sales and margin objectives. The Associate Buyer will partner with the Buyer to develop and execute a strategy for assigned category product assortment and manages vendor relationships for the business to maximize sales and exceed customer expectations. Additionally, the associate buyer is responsible for the item setup process, PO creation and maintenance, and vendor communication. The associate buyer also performs general administrative tasks supporting vendor and product selection, pricing and promotion, product set-up and guest management.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Utilizing many reporting resources, analyze existing style productivity, vendor performance and deliver recommendations for action plans
  • Analyze industry, competitor, and category trends to identify new product opportunities
  • Other duties as assigned
