  • Ensure compliance to all local, state, and federal food manufacturing sanitation requirements.
  • Supervise all sanitation and janitorial staff.
  • Maintain good working relationships with all employees.
  • Adhere to and enforce Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), HACCP, FSMA and SQF requirements.
  • Maintain facility Integrated Pest Management (IPM) Program.
  • Oversee facility fumigation activities.
  • Liaise with contracted pest control and chemical companies.
  • Promote teamwork amongst the various groups such as production, maintenance, and quality.
  • Ensure safety compliance with all chemical dilution, titration, and use.
  • Monitor, review, and suggest/direct initiatives for continuous improvement in all areas of operations.
  • Champion a culture of food sanitation and train employees on proper sanitation and chemical use.
  • Review employee performance and assist in employee development.
  • Observe equipment throughout facility and reports concerns to maintenance staff.
  • Give feedback on a routine basis to all employees.
  • Administer supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the company’s policies and applicable laws.
  • Develop strong partnership with plant management, quality, maintenance, and engineering.

Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in food science, Chemistry, or equivalent
  • 3 years of Sanitation supervisory and leadership experience preferred
  • Qualified Applicator License (QAL) for the state of California preferred

Training and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in food science, Chemistry, or equivalent required Qualified Applicator License (QAL) for the state of California preferred.
