The SAP Cloud Basis Administrator at Thinking Minds Inc. is responsible for ensuring the stability, reliability, and optimal performance of SAP systems, including the administration of SAP ERP and S/4 HANA environments within SAP RISE and Hyperscaler Cloud platforms. Responsibilities

  • Manage day-to-day support of SAP ERP (ECC 6.0, S/4 HANA), SAP PO, SAP BW BPC, GRC, FIORI, and other SAP applications hosted on SAP RISE and Hyperscaler Clouds.
  • Act as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for SAP Basis, providing guidance to the team and collaborating with cross-functional departments to develop solutions.
  • Execute operational tasks such as SAP object transports, configuration, troubleshooting, and performance tuning to maintain optimal system health.
  • Lead the technical delivery in areas like SAP Basis, Solution Manager, Enterprise Portal, and Database (HANA, SAP IQ, Sybase ASE).
  • Oversee multiple SAP instances across development, test, training, and production environments.
  • Ensure the security and governance of SAP environments, including SAP ECC, HANA, Fiori, Solution Manager, and CHaRM.
  • Install, configure, and troubleshoot SAP Fiori applications and upgrade as needed.
  • Implement optimal SAP configurations to enhance system performance and availability.
  • Maintain SAP performance, execute tuning strategies, and manage system upgrades and enhancements, including kernel upgrades and support packages.
  • Design and implement HANA 2.0 table partitioning strategies to enhance application performance.
  • Administer SAP HANA databases, ensuring operational security and system integrity, including database encryption.
  • Lead and mentor junior team members, fostering growth and development within the SAP Basis team.
  • Maintain SAP system architecture documentation, including runbooks for infrastructure and networking components.

Qualifications

Required

  • Minimum of 12 years of experience as an SAP Basis Administrator, including expertise with SAP Enterprise Components (ECC), S/4 HANA, and associated technologies (BW, BOBJ, BODS, GRC, FIORI, Solution Manager, NetWeaver).
  • Experience with managing SAP ERP Systems, including S/4 HANA, in cloud environments (e.g., SAP RISE, Hyperscaler Clouds).
  • Expertise in NetWeaver ABAP/JAVA Administration, SAP HANA Basis, and Certificate management.
  • Strong understanding of System Integration and Interfaces within SAP landscapes.
  • Hands-on experience with high availability (HA), disaster recovery (DR), and multi-database container (MDC) configurations in HANA.
  • Proficient in SAP performance optimization, including Enqueue analysis, SAP tuning strategies, and database partitioning.
  • Experience with pre- and post-system copy procedures in complex multi-application environments.
  • Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Strong technical foundation and problem-solving skills, with experience in Linux (SLES, RHEL) and Windows operating systems.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with proven experience in leadership and team-building.

Preferred

  • Experience leading SAP system upgrades and applying SAP maintenance patches.
  • Familiarity with SAP Web Dispatcher management and configuring routing rules.
  • Expertise in handling complex SAP HANA database diagnostics, thread dump analysis, and memory optimization.
  • Knowledge of security practices in SAP ecosystems, especially with HANA XS/XSA and load balancer configurations.
  • Strong understanding of Transport Management Systems and Change Control Board processes.
  • Ability to drive automation of routine SAP Basis tasks.
