UPMC St. Margaret is seeking a full-time Staff Nurse for a special Rotational Program, starting in February and July 2025, to support various Acute units. The Four Time ANCC Magnet designated UPMC St. Margaret is currently hiring a Full-time Staff Nurse to support various Acute units as part of a special Rotational Program at our Aspinwall, PA location.
The Graduate Nurse Rotational Program is a rebranded initiative specific to St. Margaret and will begin in February and July 2025. Selected participants will rotate through six various units (progressive care, rehab, ortho, neuro/oncology, renal/resp., and surgical floor ) for six months.
Each new graduate will have an experienced registered nurse as a mentor, and have preceptors for each “rotation”. This is a fantastic opportunity to learn from many talented nurses and receive a broad education on all foundational nursing skills. At the end of the “rotations”, you will be matched through a mutual matching process with a participating unit or you may remain in the resource pool.
What units are included in the Graduate Nurse Acute Track?
Our RNs work a rotating 12 hour schedule to ensure 24/7 coverage on the floor.
The Staff Nurse provides highly competent patient care and treatment while demonstrating empathy and a passion for learning. A role that requires independent judgment, fluent communication, and candid partnership, the Staff Nurse establishes relationships with physicians, other care providers, patients, and patients’ families in order to achieve desired patient outcomes throughout the continuum of care.
A Registered Nurse and a member of the care delivery team, you will set the standards for the level and quality of nursing care, and possess authority and accountability for its provision. At all times, you will exemplify a commitment to the community and to the nursing profession.
